XPS Foam offers low density, tight geometric tolerances and a dust-free bonding surface.

XPS Foam

Lavender Composites has designed a high-performance extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam core to meet the specific demands of Australia’s RV and refrigerated truck and trailer markets, and any other markets that involve engineered sandwich panels subjected to severe dynamic loads.

XPS Foam core offers low density, tight geometric tolerances and a dust-free bonding surface for use with a wide range of skin materials.

Benefits

  • Ability to withstand dynamic loads
  • Low density (40kg/m3)
  • High thermal insulation
  • Tight geometric tolerances
  • Dust-free bonding surface
  • Can be used with a wide range of skin materials
  • Grooved bonding face assists air evacuation and glue spread during panel manufacture

Application

XPS Foam is the lightweight core of choice for structural insulated panels. The very low density and high thermal insulating properties of this foam core make it well suited to caravans, motor homes and other recreational vehicles, as well as refrigerated trucks and transportable accommodation.

Why choose XPS Foam?

XPS Foam is a high-performance foam core produced in a variety of thicknesses, which can be customised for specific projects. XPS Foam has:

  • extremely low density
  • low thermal conductivity
  • high compressive strength
  • a very low water absorption rate
  • availability in a variety of stock thicknesses and lengths.

Stock Availability

Lavender Composites stocks XPS Foam in thicknesses from 25mm to 95mm in sizes up to 600mm x 3000mm.

For larger projects, customised sizes can be manufactured. Talk to us about your exact requirements.
